Hi, In fact, when we talk about events, we mean discrete events, each with its time-stamp. Hence, the question may refer to the method of flowing the events into CEP. In this regard, I suppose you mean that REST calls being "discrete", while a streaming facility such as STORM would mean what you really ask about. Indeed, Proton CEP has a version that work over STORM for that purpose. The artifacts for that are in github: https://github.com/ishkin/Proton/blob/master/artifacts/ProtonOnStorm.jar.
