What is the difference between Fiware and Kiara?
What is the difference between Fiware and Kiara advanced middleware?
It seems to me they can and in fact acomplish the same goals regarding interoperability between devices and/or applications.

The FIWARE Advanced Middleware now it is composed of two components:
KIARA: A Java implementation of a middleware based on OMG standards, containing an implementation of RTPS (Real-Time Publish Subscribe)
Fast RTPS: A C++ implementation of RTPS protocol, adopted by many organizations, such as ROS (Robot Operating System).
What kind of application are you developing ?
Kiara Advanced Middleware is one of FIWARE's Generic Enablers: https://catalogue.fiware.org/enablers... --- A very powerful one, no doubt
FIWARE provides many features which are not covered by Kiara, as example, you can visit https://catalogue.fiware.org and take a look at Cloud GE's, Data GE's (including the Big Data ones), Apps GE's, Security GE's, etc. This is all out of Kiara's scope.
